Trying to come up with a logo that combines academics and technology. Not that easy.
I’m probably going a bit insane with this redesign. I just spent the morning making sure my site worked on iPod touch and iPhone devices both retina and not, as well as making sure all my retina graphics worked on the retina iPad and MacBook Pro.
Some bumper concepts I made for UNM on iTunes U. Now to see which one they like.
While setting up my new MacBook pro at work, I relized that I did not have all my fonts carried over from my backup (for whatever reason), specifically the one I used in my logo Aeroportal:
So I went to Smashing Magazine where I had downloaded it originally and found it to be pulled. As it turns out, the font was intended for use by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and by them alone. The font was accidentally released without restriction, and subsequently the site where you could download the font was password protected. Not wanting any bumps down the road with the Norwegian government (however unlikely that may be) I made a new logo. Admittedly I do not like it as much as my original, but I think it works.
